Folded Hyperspace Sector Map

"For some reason, if a strag discovers that a hitchhiker has his towel with him, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, face flannel, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string..."

— The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Chapter 3

The Folded Hyperspace Sector Map is an indispensable physical cartographic document published by Megadodo Publications for hitchhikers who lack faith in the battery life of electronic tablets. Printed on indestructible synthetic tear-resistant polymer with phosphorescent inks, it unfolds into a majestic four-foot-by-six-foot projection of the Galaxy's four quadrants.

Cartographic Features

  • Trade Corridors & Hazards: Clearly depicts major hyperspatial trade arteries, the boundaries of Vogon Constructor space, and well-known planetary hazards such as the hunting grounds of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal.
  • The Folding Curse: By universal consensus, no living sentient being has ever succeeded in refolding the map along its original factory creases. Attempts to do so generally result in an unruly, crinkled accordion shape that takes up three times as much room in a traveler's knapsack.
  • Multipurpose Utility: On wet worlds such as Fallia, the waterproof map doubles as an effective rain shelter, picnic blanket, or sunshade when used alongside a Massively Useful Towel.
